Why does converting to JPEG add a white background?

JPEG doesn't support transparency. Transparent pixels are composited over white before encoding.

Do you keep my images?

No. Files are processed server-side and deleted the moment the response is sent. We never log or store them.

GIF is limited to 256 colors. Photos and gradients will look noticeably degraded — use PNG or WebP for those.

ICO is capped at 256×256 pixels. We automatically resize down to fit before encoding.

AVIF requires libavif support in Pillow. If unavailable on our server you'll get a clear error — use WebP as a modern alternative.
